After a little pause to regroup and recuperate, we were stoked to have an exclusive dj set from Jeff Samuel who made his debut appearance in London.
Jeff is a sought-after remixer with a heavy DJ and production schedule who still finds the time to make SFX for videogames. His records are played by a diverse range of the world’s most talented DJ’s including: Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos, Francois K, Steve Bug, Akufen, Craig Richards, Mazi, Claude Young, Timo Maas, Josh Wink, Electric Indigo, Michael Mayer, and John Tejada. He has released on a variety of labels across the world including Lo Fi Stereo, Morris Audio, Spectral, Poker Flat, Dan Bells 7th City and has a history of numerous releases on Trapez. He also mixed the recent Poker Flat cd (vol 4).
We have also lined up a live set from the young but talented Leif. North Wales based artist Leif’s releases include tracks on MindTours and a web based release on Jay Haze’s Textone. Leif’s sound holds a minimal, dubby quality with a driving percussive edge. He plays live percussion often sampling phrases to use in his tracks. He concentrates much of his creative output towards his live dj sets which combine live sequencing of loops and effects using a Yamaha RS700 with vinyl and cd.
