Well – it’s been 12 months since the first run party and we’ve had the pleasure of playing host to a number of guests from both the local scene (*Dou Dou Malicious, Ben Rourke, Jug, Shuttle, Glimpse and Saytek [live]*) and the international scene (with live sets from the likes of Cabanne, Pheek, Frivolous, Skugge & Stavöstrand and dj sets from Zip, Jeff Samuel and Jay Haze) as well as some guests who could easily fall into both categories (*Steevio [live], Leif [live/dj], Lump [live], Mark Henning* and Margaret Dygas).

More pictures of the night and a review available on residentadvisor as well as on kctv.co.uk...

To mark this occasion there was only really one choice as to who we would invite back: he was the first person to take the risk to come and play at a then unknown party last November; most of our other guests seem to have collaborated with him in one form or another, either releasing tracks on one of his labels, remixing him or co-producing tracks with him…our man in Berlin – Jay Haze. The fact that this guy is on such a roll at the moment with his various labels (Contexterrior, Textone [one of the original and best net labels], Future Dub, Tuning Spork and latest edition to the roster – Tuning Spork Family Affair) and his releases on other labels – Musik Krause, Karloff Records etc etc – his debut album on Kitty Yo, remixes on Soma and the rest … mean that Jay’s one busy dude – catch him while you can!

Seeing as Birthdays come once a year and we’ll grab any excuse for a special party we also invited back our neighbour and friend, Lump, to play a live set. We thought this to be especially appropriate given that he’s recently had his second release on Jay’s net label Textone and is preparing for his double 12” release on one of Jay’s other labels – Future Dub. Oh and anyone who’s seen his live sets at run, Süd or Fabric will know this Finnish dude absolutely rocks it. For more info check his bio.

To complete the list of treats for next months party we’re extremely proud to welcome a certain Sean O’Neal, all the way from Philadelphia. You probably know him better as Someone Else – dj / live act / producer and head of the record labels Fuzzybox and Foundsound and the superb net label Unfoundsound. After tearing up dance floors world wide with the killer 12” ‘Something Else’ he’ll be making a rare appearance in this city playing a live set as part of his European tour. I can’t do enough justice to this guys history (releases and remixes on Tuning Spork, Microcosm, Musik Krause etc) – for a full round up you better check his bio. If you’re not already down with Someone Else just go here and check out the net releases and for a taster of this guys awesome livesets check out his liveset in the download section recorded in New York last year. Last but not least, he also co-founded *Tuning Spork with Jay Haze*…are we seeing a pattern emerge for this party??

Further musical support for the night will be provided by run’s Chris Box and Russell Skellon & Cesar (Circus Company).
