SATURDAY 17TH MAY
AMERSHAM ARMS
388 NEW CROSS ROAD
9-3
£6/£5 (NUS/REGULARS CARD)

• 100 advance tickets available from here

And so it goes… this will be the last Allez-Allez at the Amersham Arms – come down and celebrate!!!

Following a sequence of heady parties that have seen us play host to some of our favourite artists including Nathan Fake, The Field, Four Tet, Joakim, Optimo and Shackleton amongst others we have decided to call time on our little monthly party for now.

Still, what better way to bring down the curtain than with a showcase from the legendary WARP RECORDS!

Headlining is the mighty CLARK – fresh from releasing his epochal ‘Turning Dragon’ album… Expect a pummeling live set of exhilarating industrial/electronica, guaranteed to melt your booty off…

Warp’s newest signings PIVOT, purveyors of fine post punk / glitch / rock will also be hot footing it up from their Brighton gig earlier in the evening to play for us the records that get them out of bed in the morning, and hopefully make YOU dance.. And of course, your hosts Sam & Steve will be aiming at the dancefloor with their (un)usual selection of kraut/techno/disco/electro..

We have some very exciting plans in the pipeline for the future which we can’t go into detail yet, but in the meantime, keep up to date with our weekly podcast, special one off events and other shenanigans HERE

KOMPAKT presents – DJ Koze, Allez Allez DJs – 12.12.2007

Plastic People, 147-149 Curtain Road, London EC2

• Please note – this is the last current series of Kompakt parties at Plastic People for the next few months!

November’s KOMPAKT party saw techno legend / Orb member THOMAS FEHLMANN elevating the minds of the Plastic People dance floor with one of the most inspired electronic live shows this scribe has ever seen.. JUSTUS KOHNCKE did not disappoint either with an elegant set of sleek grooves and disco jams, included a particular highlight in the form of his new single ‘Parage’

For December, we bring you a rare and intimate set from Kompakt’s renegade production maestro DJ KOZE. Widely regarded as one of the most gifted producers working in electronic music today (recent stunning remixes for BATTLES and MATTHEW DEAR), Stefan Kozalla AKA DJ KOZE is also a member of eccentric dance trio INTERNATIONAL PONY (for a taste of how far Koze is willing to go for London be sure to check out the video for their recent single “Gothic Girl” by clicking here)

Still, let’s not forget he is also a highly regarded DJ whose sets overflow with ideas in the form of loops, clicks, scratches, and effortless genre transitions.

Allez-Allez DJs Sam & Steve, will warms things up with their (un)usual selection of krautrock / ambient / deep grooves ..

Boring Kitchen promotes quality minimal techno, deep and dirty house, and dub. Our primary focus is on small, independent labels, including netlabels. We’re interested in bringing live PAs, DJs, and sound systems to the Washington, DC area for simple, low key one-off events.

Aftermatch Express at fluid – 23rd of September

This is indeed an Aftermatch! The follow up to the successful debut Berlin London Express, this night will feature artists and djs affiliated with the infamous Sunday Aftermatch parties.

It all kicks off at 8pm in the upstairs bar, where PascalO will
prepare us for the electronic journey with some deep & dubby floating electronic sounds. Continuing the journey will be Tim Cowie aka Audio Dependent, who’s recently been wowing us with some of his outstanding live performances as well as a great release on the After-Dinner netlabel. Perplexer will then be taking over and hitting the decks with his quality selection of vinyl.

Downstairs in the basement will be hosted by Run promoter and freshly baked Archipel DJ Chris Box, who will be creating a transition between the live sets of After Dinner co-owner Alex Fisher and the infamous SAYTEK – each featuring their own live material and proven crowd rocking experience.
