Leif
North-Wales based artist Leif’s releases include tracks on Mindtours 06 and 07, and a web-based release on Jay Haze’s netlabel Textone.
Leif’s sound holds a minimal, dubby quality with a driving percussive edge. Influences range from classic reggae and deep dub through to trip-hop, funk, house and techno.
He plays live percussion, often sampling phrases to use in his tracks. Leif concentrates much of his creative output towards his live DJ sets, which combine live sequencing of loops and effects using a Yamaha RS700 with vinyl and CD.
